PROFILE
The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program is a California statewide program that empowers low-income Californians through clean vehicle education and ownership. It provides grants towards the purchase of a new or used Electric or Hybrid vehicle. Our program helps income-qualified California residents and we do this through a combination of grants and fair financing options.
As an equity-focused program, our priority is to serve communities that are disproportionately impacted by pollution, this often includes low-income communities and communities of color.
The Program was launched in 2018 through a partnership between Beneficial State Foundation and the California Air Resources Board, funded by California Climate Investments (CCI). Our goal is to make environmentally-friendly vehicles accessible and affordable to all in California.
